Virtual 3D art studio walkthrough

Ets. 2013

scottfreesalon gallery september 14, 2020

From challenge comes opportunity. The two months that everything shut down due to Covid-19, was a very difficult time. With more alone time than ever before, I spent a lot of time looking back on my life. The good and the bad. The triumphs and mistakes. It allowed me to rethink many of the things I went through, and the things I still want to do.

One of the only places I could still go, was my art studio. It was therapy. I realized I could take more time to create much larger paintings. But with more work going into them, it's a longer process to make them, and for someone to then actually acquire them. So, I decided to also do much smaller paintings, that people could buy right away, and brighten their home with.

While working on my signature chess board art, I learned to use sheets of paper to display multiple layers of abstract images. It was a unique experience that I could carry over into these smaller paintings I've been creating.

Today, I am sharing with you these smaller paintings. All the money raised from selling them will go toward installing a second large painting at the Children's Hospital in my native country of Latvia. Your support would allow me to brighten the lives of more children receiving life-saving treatments. The piece of art I already have at that hospital helps bring color and life to the halls, and it's my goal to do more for them. I would appreciate your consideration, and would love to help bring more color and life to your home too, with these smaller works.

Thank you for your time and consideration, Natalja

Thank you for taking the time to experience my art here at the wonderful Fiddleheads. This piece is also on display at the Children’s Hospital in Latvia, where I am from. This is not just a colorful painting, it’s also a game. You can use the canvas to play Chess, Checkers, and Backgammon. There are also hidden symbols, numbers and letters to help kids learn. I would like to bring my signature “game art” to hospitals and organizations that help children in the Milwaukee area, which has become my home.
